The Milwaukee Community Chamber

Our City. Our Business. Our Future.

A member-owned network for Milwaukee's small businesses, artists, and culture makers. Built by the people who built this city, for the people who keep it running.

Small business. Local art and culture. Member owned and run.

Why we exist
"The Milwaukee Community Chamber is a member-owned organization for Milwaukee's independent small businesses. We exist to strengthen the local economy from the inside out by connecting members, amplifying their work, and making sure the people who built this city benefit from it."
What membership means

Look inside the collective first

1

Buy Local Network

A verified directory of Milwaukee's independent businesses, searchable by trade, neighborhood, and specialty. When a member needs a vendor, a supplier, or a service, they look here first.

2

Referral Layer

Monthly Swap and Refer meetups, a members-only referral thread, and a culture of warm introductions. Business moves on trust, and trust moves through people.

3

Peer Learning Circles

Small-group monthly sessions led by members, for members. No keynotes, no sales pitches. Just owners helping owners figure it out together.

Founding members

Be at the table from day one

Founding members shape what this chamber becomes: the directory, the gatherings, the priorities, all of it. Whether you run a shop with a crew or create on your own, there's a place here, and every member holds the same seat and the same vote.

Membership details are coming soon, and the interest list hears everything first.

Built for the whole city

Neighborhood by neighborhood

Milwaukee doesn't happen in one zip code. The directory, the referrals, and the learning circles are built to reach every corner of the city, from the corner bakery to the makers' workshop to the gallery down the block.

And there's more on the way: new ways to shine a light on members and the neighborhoods they call home. Founding members hear about everything first.

A note from the founder

This table has a seat for you

I started the Milwaukee Community Chamber because I believe the people who make this city special deserve an organization that actually works for them. All of them.

Milwaukee's story has always been written in its neighborhoods. And in too many of them, talented people have been building businesses, art, and community for generations without the support, the capital, or the spotlight they deserve. Black and brown entrepreneurs, makers, and creatives are so much of this city's heart, and together with all of our neighborhoods they are the majority of who Milwaukee is. A chamber that doesn't serve them isn't serving Milwaukee.

So this one will. Not as a program on the side, but as the center of the mission. When we say member owned and member run, we mean a table where the soapmaker, the barbecue pit, the gallery, the coffee shop, and the corner store all hold the same seat and the same vote.

If you've ever felt like these rooms weren't built for you, this one is. Pull up a chair.
